My grandfather used to keep dozens of them for rat catching down the mines, those ones weren't so cute like these!

Lovely shots.

Oddly, I think this is the worst one as the blur ruins it.

Are ferrets as smelly as I'm led to believe?

They can be, they have anal glands and can emit a smell, but I think they only do it when threatened or annoyed.

Oh yeah they smell alright,we kept them in their own little shed and you could smell them before you opened the door. Some people who keep them as pets have their glands removed.

Wow! Well these certainly do not smell that bad. Stasia has 6 of them as pets. I would say they have a slight natural musk but it's nothing terribly offensive. It's also usually covered up by some smell-good product she puts in their fur.

I guess it comes down down to the persons "smell" sensitivity,They smell but some people may find it extra offensive or overwhelming...I just know they did smell (I have smelt worse things than ferrets) Smile

I know how fast they can move so you did very well.Wow 6 of them! A lot of energy in one area Very Happy
