Hood, thanks for the kind words! Beth doesn't think she's cute
at all, well, she's still young at just 21. She's my running buddy
when we're out shooting, look like Boris and Natasha (I'm 5'6"
and she's a little over 5'11" when she stands up straight lol).

Thanks again. Smile

You can tell her she's beautiful. In photo #4 she looks a bit like Kate Winslet.

She would deserve a set of portraits, with a proper camera and lens,
leaving this autofocus in the drawer Laughing
Don't you think so?
Choose a nice location with some good lateral light, such as a window
I remember a location you showed once, a bit in decay, that would be great
with a lateral "rembrandt" light such as in photo #4 she does best
also good is "loop light" as in #1 and #3
but softer light source, maybe from curtains.

Orio and Attila, thanks, fellas! Smile

I've taken many pix of Beth with film, not completely happy with any of them.
The closest is this one pushing Neopan 100SS to 1250, Konica T4 and f1.8/40 Hex:

not a good result with the push, tho

She was born/raised in NYC and is part Italian, Irish, and Native American Indian.

She's also a superb pianist, gourmet cook, and unfortunately for me, excellent baker. Laughing

Hope to get some decent photos of her this summer.

ouch... explosive mix! Laughing must be careful with her I guess Smile

She deserves more tentatives, Bill. Photos 1,3,4 indicate the direction to go.

Orio, she actually has a sweet dispostion. Italian/Irish is not an uncommon mix over here, especially when both
families are Catholic. Smile

Thanks for your advice, will give it a try!

I like all but the backlit one.

I'm surprised she's 21; she looks younger. Not sure if that's good or bad.

Thanks, Martin, I'm thinking looking younger than your years is a good thing. The backlit
one really doesn't go with the rest.

+1, in photography at least.

What really impressed me is the way she looks like the younger Kate Winslet when she pouts.
I mean, remove some kilos, adjust the pose, and she's really there:

They have the same lips, but who she reminds me of (in the above pic at least) is Mariah Carey.
