It looks significantly shorter than the Contax (Hollywood)
Also slightly shorter than the Nikon version (ZF)
I would be very curious to compare it head to head with the Contax version.
Anybody can loan me one (ZE)? Laughing

Perhaps I can report something about the lens.
I have asked for a test copy. But I am not sure if I can get one.
There surely is a long list...

This lens (am talking about Zeiss 28/2 ZF) is the most unexpected
nice lens for me, since many say/said about its field curvature
negatively along 25/2.8 ZF's. Yes, there is less corner sharpness due to curvature
better than Distagon 25/2.8 ZF's field curvature, but there is no more weakness. Cool

Of course some may insist its barrel distortion, which is not too
bad IMO. Overall this is VERY good lens, of course YMMV.
