I got a letter from Mr. Gandy today.
------------------------------------------
Greetings! This is a generic message to those people who placed a $100 deposit on the new Voigtlander SLII 20/3.5 lens in Nikon mount. The lenses are in transit and will start shipping from CameraQuest about March 27th!
The price is $549 for the lens and $49 for the lens shade. However because you placed a deposit, you will get the shade for FREE providing you pay the balance by March 31st! Please make paypal payments to Stephen@CameraQuest.com, and write in the paypal note what you are buying, also noting the date of your deposit

Shipping is free within the US by priority mail. California shipments require and additional 8.25% state sales tax.
Shipping internationally is $40 by USPS Express Mail. By either shipping method you should receive a USPS email with the tracking number once the lens is shipped.

For rangefinder shooters, Voigtlander has just announced the new rangefinder coupled 15/4.5 in Leica M mount which takes a 52mm filter, and the amazing 15-35 multi format film/RD/M8 viewfinder. The price has not yet been set. I estimate the 15 and new viewfinder to ship towards the end of April. I am taking $100 refundable paypal deposits on either item.

Many Thanks!

Stephen

15mm is not new, M-mount is new?! Colar Skopar 20/3.5 seems to be shipping to North America.

Very interesting!
The new 15mm is now RF coupled were as the old one was not.
It's not so important with such a wide lens but, interesting anyway.
The price for the 20mm Reflex lens seems quite good if the image quality is up to the standard of the RF version Very Happy

Yes (for what?) Rolling Eyes

Somehow Mr. Gandy has/had changed pricing of CV lenses since
Ultron 28/2 last year, the prices are almost same as Cosina's MSRP
in dollars. Before that his price was up to 30% cheaper than CV's MSRP
in Japan. So I did buy some even Canadian$ was weak against US$,
it saved a little for me, now no saving anymore. UGH !!

Maybe Cosina charges more due to stronger Yen for last couple of months,
I do not know.

I cannot buy the lens from US easily and sometime cheaply any more. Crying or Very sad

Back to lens talk, new 20mm Skopar lens seems to be a good one except
some distortion according to an article in a Japanese photo magazine.
It looks very small, almost same as Ultron 40/2 SLII, which is a good thing.
