Just wondering what lenses they made in the mount for the Contax rf? Anyone got any experience of these and their quality?

Quality will be stunning for sure, question only how to find and how to pay Smile expensive lenses in my guess.

Yes, the production numbers were tiny so won't be easy to find, none on ebay. I was thinking the 21mm might be cheaper and easier to find than the Biogon 21. Seems not. Sad

I think it's price is not less or not much if I ever can afford these I will by rather older one like Biogon 21.

Looking at them - and the postwar biogons - did a strange thing to me. I actually figured cost/fun/utility factors and concluded that a digital body for these prices (or less) makes more sense Shocked Keep a Kiev for the J-12 Laughing

I have a Kiev and a J12, and a Contax and a Biogon 35, love em both. Still not the same as having a 21mm though Wink

I bought post-war Biogon 35 and pre-war both , pre-war is like best J-12 lenses, post war is even better , pretty fascinating lens , with little luck you can buy it affordable and use it on NEX-3 and film both unlike J-12.

The most cost effective top quality 21mm lens that I know is the Contax G Biogon 21mm
You will have to buy a Contax G though. But knowing how you love film, it is an investment that makes perfect sense. It's an adorable system because it's small, lightweight, and truly top quality.

Yes, my love of the Biogon 2.8/35 I have has had me looking at the G system, one day I might take the plunge.

I've hardly used any other lens since I got my Biogon, that and my Sonnar 1.5/50 cover most of my needs I'm finding, before that I was enjoying my J12 and J8 in the same way.
