wow, that 20mm is short for a retrofocus lens!

Yes. The aspheric is standing in for several elements that would otherwise be needed at the back, I think.

Speaking of short - closest focus, 0.2m!

The sale of this lens is delayed to the end of March. UGH
I could not buy it in here while I am in Japan, of course
I can ask my relative to hold it but not bothering them.

According to recent camera magazine, the lens has quite
god capability but has visible barrel distortion. That's all I can get.

Five (not very good) samples allegedly taken with this lens. The photos are dated 2009:01:15 so its a pre-production lens. The photos were taken on D90 and converted from NEF to sRGB JPEG in Adobe Photoshop CS2 Macintosh, which strips some exif; still, from what remains, its clearly a CPU lens, the focal length is 20mm and the max aperture f/3.5 so it seems likely that these are indeed from the CV20.

The page links to higher-resolution photos. They are all taken in Aperture priority and at lowish ISO (200 to 250). Picture A is at f/4, C at f/5.6 and the rest at f/9.
