Ok new test shots taken at f/8 with all 3. Images focused using a anglefinder set at 2x with MLU and a remote while tripod mounted. Shots taken with a Canon 5D so these are from a full frame DSLR. RAW unprocessed and cropped at 100% with only default ACR capture sharpening being done.
I really don't see an appreciable difference myself. I'm showing a shot from the center and the lower right corner
Contax 135/2.8
Leica R 135/2.8
Pentax 135/3.5
I will still take some heads shots to see how they compare but my main purpose for them is landscape work.
Curious what other's think of the differences. _________________ MF lenses: Contax Zeiss 28/2.8, 35/2.8, 50/1.4,

Select, nice day with bright sunshine and all lenses will sign from Revuenon to Leica;) For landscape work more important ideal subject, light, than technical accessories in my opinion. _________________ -------------------------------

These are both crops? From what whole image? I don't understand. I need to see the whole image.
In any case for my experience at f/8 all medium tele lenses perform similarly except for really bad ones. _________________ Orio, Administrator

Oh sorry, both scenes are 100% crops from one image. The closeup of the building is from the center and the other crop is the lower right corner. _________________ MF lenses: Contax Zeiss 28/2.8, 35/2.8, 50/1.4,
