Camera is 5D (first type), hand-held, lens aperture somewhere between f/5.6 and f/11 except one shot wide open. Sun was high noon and blinding. No lens hood:

01. Picture 1

01a. 100% crop of picture 1 (top right corner)

02. Picture 2

02a. 100% crop of picture 2

03. Picture 3

03a. 100% crop of picture 3

04. Picture 4 (wide open)

04a. 100% crop of picture 4

Hi Orio --

Congrats to Distagon 21 -- It's an exceptional lens --

your excitement will be increasing more and more --
after some period of time you'll understand why...

Do you like the constant length of the lens when focusing? Wink

I didn't notice actually - you're right, focusing is internal, no doubt related to the floating element.

It's nice in that it reduces the chances of getting dust inside the lens.
More important for actual use is that the head does not rotate so comfortable use of polarizer is possible - although 20mm is too wide a visual angle for good use of polarizer in landscapes
- but in some situations where sky is not in the frame, it can still be good.
