Compiano is a small "borgo" on the Parmesan Apennines. The hamlet is inside a very old castle, whose building date is unknown, but there are documents that prove that it was already existing in year 814 a.C., thus dating the structure to the early Middle Ages.
All photos are Leica M9 and Zeiss Biogon 2/35 ZM.
At the bottom I will post the links to some of the images in full size (can't post all of them because they are very huge):

Keep them coming coming Orio!
Visiting Italy again was already on my list, but you bring it closer...

Apart from being much lighter and prettier (same price), can you compare the Biogon 2/35 ZM to the Distagon 2/35 ZE/ZF/ZK ?

I think this is post No 100 for me Smile

No, the files were uploading slowly. They are completed now. Please try again.

I can not compare them directly, because I don't have the Z Distagon 35.
However, being the Distagon a retrofocal design for SLR, I think it's fairly probable to guess that it may be better than the Biogon in the corners but worse for distortion.

EDIT: I checked the MTFs on Zeiss site and they confirm my guess. The Biogon has almost zero distortion (a feature which I love in wide lenses), but has a performance drop in the corners, which is typical of non retrofocal wide angle designs, since the exit pupil of the lens is so close to the film/sensor plane.
The Distagon Z holds better performance in the corner, but does quite worse in distortion performance (actually, with a curve that is wider than typical Distagons)

Do you have any pictures from the Cinque Terre region?
I would love to see them!

Very nice! Quiet, sunny, must be a pleasure to live there.
Special favorite now is # 33; it was raining nearly all day here!
