This is me testing out how well the K-01 handled the whiteness of a flower in full sun.The lens was set at F8 and I guess the other details are in the exif data.

I can't remember if I used the focus peaking feature or not....the sun was behind me and it did cause some challenges to see the subject in the screen.I could see the green of the leaves behind and the shadow in the white section of the flower and used those as a guide for focusing.

edited to put the correct Pancolar version in.

Well focused and exposed, Mo!
The Pancolar is my favourite lens ever.

Thanks Jes,If you can get this camera cheap I can highly recommend it.For all its little design issues it packs a punch with its image quality. I can only agree about the Pancolar 2/50 it is one lens I don't think I will ever part with...and if I can buy a few more spare copies I will. Laughing

Most other lenses would have crapped out with this shot. I know from experience. Even my new Nikkor AFS 35mm would struggle.

Just one more question - does the camera have image stabilisation?

Nice shot......I've just found out why most of my Rose shots are crap, as on a web page the advice was:- best to take a shot in bright cloudy day and not in direct sunshine.

The camera has the usual Pentax inbuilt SR=shake reduction feature which I find works very well. Thanks for your comments.

2 more from Yesterday...testing the cameras ability to handle "yellow". There were some yellow roses left in the garden so the perfect subjects.I was blown away by the texture of the rose petals...it looks how it should feel.

#1I wish I had removed the "bud" in the lower right corner

#2

I did try taking some images of a few red roses but they were horrible...I have to work on the camera settings for red flowers.. Laughing
