Anyone registered at eBay can bid!
Private bidding = This is a private listing and your bidder identity will not be disclosed to anyone except the seller. This is new eBay default and I could not find where to change it in GarageSale (the software I used to upload the auctions to eBay).
In reply to a question about the Planar T* 50/1.4 C/Y mount - lens is AE version and Made in Japan. _________________ Vilhelm

Lots of buyers who got great condition lenses at really great prices, apart from 50/1.4 which went beyond what I thought. What I don't understand is the Hasselblad SWC: record-low price although camera has just been checked/serviced and 6 month warranty. Is medium format going out or are they all broke due to incoming holiday month? THey usually sell for 1300-1600 EUR.
I hope not to see these turn up soon on eBay with Buy It Now |

I think you would have done better financially by selling the lenses here instead of Ebay, and asking for what you think was the correct price. It is sometimes difficult to guess the right price on Ebay if you are not familiar with the lens. I placed a bid of 200 € on your 28-70 because I thought it was a normal price, since I paid 170 € for the 35-70 and 250 € for the 28-85. After I did search and saw that the 28-70 sells normally at around 300 €. If I did search before, I would have placed a higher bid and maybe won the item. _________________ Orio, Administrator

Well, I was just helping out a friend who had tried to sell them in many places already. Obviously I would be happier had they fetched a better price but from a purely financial perspective I personally did not lose (or win) anything in these auctions.
Still, surprised to see they didn't fetch what they normally go for. |

A good rule for me, that I find always works, is to never sell more than one item of the same kind in the same time. You have sold four C/Y items at the same time, and two Hasselblad items. Chances are that people who were interested in one C/Y item (say the Planar 1.4/50) might have been interested also in one of the other items, like the camera or the 28-70, but could not afford to bid on the two items at the same time.
When I have two or more items of the same kind, I always try to sell them in different times (like, the month after), or, if necessary to sell everything now, I at least try to make the auctions end with one day difference, so that maybe people who took part to the first auction and lost it, may decide to take part to the second auction, increasing the number of partecipants and the final price as well.
If instead the two items auctions end at the same time, many people will be forced to choose one or the other, and if they lose on the one they choosed, they can not take part to the other one because it's also ended. _________________ Orio, Administrator
