Just won an auction for a Bonotar 105/4.5 in M42.
Waiting for the new toy to come.

Very Happy

I read that it was designed as a medium format lens.
Any comments or experiences with this lens appreciated.

Not a good lens , not made by a "real" optical factory if I remember as well. It's made by a mechanical instrument manufacturer lens IQ is below average.

Rare and exotic lens.

I have it but my samples was too crappy I didn't published. I think I will give it a try again for her.

I was also interested, because I never heard of it before.
I placed a bid and got it for around 20 Euros incl. shipping.
Hope to get it within a week, but it would be nice if you can have a second look at your copy. In springtime, taking pictures makes more fun Razz

Yes, right. Now should deliver better result. Not a hidden gem but nice to have it due rarity and 20 EUR not a high price at all.

... and this member seems to be mf-addicted, too.
Good shots with a large collection of old lens.

Here are some pictures of the lens.
It is not very solid built but has 10 blades.
And the focussing is the other way round.
For close focus you have to turn right (where infinity is on common lenses).
I will post a test of the lens in some days.

The front lens ring almost looks like it was manufactured by Meyer Smile

I believe it's a Meyer clone right.
