Some pics from last winter, taken on my porch.
Not the most exciting birds or enviroment perhaps, but one has to start somewhere, right?
Blue tit - Parus caeruleus
Great tit(s) - Parus major
Blue tit - Parus caeruleus
Great tit - Parus major
Blue tit - Parus caeruleus
And last one from this summer:
Willow Warbler - Phylloscopus trochilus
All pictures but the last one was shot on a tripod.
I think this lens is highly potental for bird photography.
Very sharp, especially if you close aperture 1 or 2 steps.
Has good MFD witch is suitable for small birds that are not so frightened.
CA does exists, but it's rare to give any problems.
I sold this lens some weeks ago because I used it mostly at f/5,6 or smaller aperture anyway.
Stupid to carry all this weight for F/4 and then not use it.
I was first thinking about replacing it with the Canon EF 400/5,6L because of size and price... but I might have something bigger on the way. |

Thanks everyone.
I think it clearly shows that this old and relativily cheap (comparing to Canon and Nikon similar teles) lens surely has some potential. |

Oh, I missed your question at first...
The first two pics and the last one has been sharpend a bit.
I also belive there has been some contrast adjustments.
All pictures are cropped also. |
