The best 24mm lens I personally tried was the latest Minolta MD 24/2.8 btw.; it's one stop slower thouh. |
Yup, my Nikkor AIs has similiar bokeh to trifoxs Canon FDn. |

is there a consensus on the best 24/2 lens in two specific categories: sharpness and lack of distortion. love to hear user thoughts!
thanks

I'm not sure if AF lenses count, but I'd mention the Sony Zeiss labeled 24mm f2.
PS.
Pardon me, I didn't notice your comment on the top. I guess my reply isn't relevant... _________________ Cameras: Canon 5DIII, Zorki-4, Canon AE-1

I went to alot of trouble to find a nice one for my original nex-5. "The best canon lens ever made" said some.
meh, for my copy
the nFD 20/2.8 and all my little RFs walked all over it on both nexes, to my surprise.
sold it.
supposedly it is very sensitive to dropping, and it's floating element not best for adaption--but I don't know the veracity of either.
A shame because on APS-C 24 is a nice FOV, and f/2 pretty fast. But on the new FF e-mount the cv 35/1.2 will give the roughly the same FOV, and is said to be fantastic on the new sony sensor--better than M240. _________________ Making MFlenses safe for the letter *L* |
