In my opinion any old Bessa is lot better deal. This is simple too much and 6x7 only.

I'm with you.
Still it is $1000 less than the sight quoted last week.
I think I would take a used Plaubel Makina for $850 before either Bessa's.
The spot meter in the PBM makes it a very useful and controllable system.
Metering of course can be done by hand but, if you have it in the cam with coupled RF........how can you beat it?

An old Bessa RF or Bessa I should perfect for any nature shoots. I keep SLR for portraits. Cost is not much result are perfect +++ we save an old camera and we give to her a new life.

Oh yes! The Makina! What a dream cam!

The new Besse is definitely over-priced. It will be a collector's item from the start.

This price is nonsense for what is 50 years old technology (with maybe a little bells and whistles).
And I'm sure that my Zeiss Super Ikonta from early 50s takes better pictures than this camera (due to better lens).
