I just bought this Agfa Record II , 6x9 medium format rangefinder, year 1955, described as perfectly working, Apotar 105mm lens, Prontor SV shutter, for only 16 Euros.

Yes that's true, I'm not joking.
16 Euros.

I think this is my best bargain ever. Very Happy

Congrats, Orio! You paid 1/7 of what I did for mine with same lens/
shutter combo. Amazing bargain if there's no issues.

Bill

ps mine is prettier, tho. Laughing

Orio, does it come with leather cover? Mine came with original leather
cover in great shape...yeah, I'm grabbing at straws, here. Laughing

LOL, I don't know! Very Happy
But I have to thank you, if it wasnt for your camera I would have never searched for this one.

This shows again - if there was ever need- the importance of this forum!

Does it take regular 120 film like the Pentacon 6?

Just think how good a 6x9 velvia slide is going to look...

Exactly !!
I am already drooling at that.

A couple of weeks ago I made a roll of Velvia 50 with the Pentacon 6 and the results (the few frames that did not overlap, that is) are stunning.

But I need to get hold of a 6x6 slide projector - no, wait! It'll better handle the 6x9 as well!

Geez will this all ever end?? Shocked

Congrats, Orio!
Nice camera... I'd like someday to start collecting these old gems...
But I'm afraid I'll have to control myself or I may end in the street, out of my small flat, full of photography stuff Wink
Best regards,
Jes.

If the weather wasn't so nasty (horizontal rain) I would've shot a roll
thru mine already. Yep, takes 120 film, and Velvia slides sound dazzling!
I'm on the outlook for an x-ray viewer on ebay that I can use for a
light table...for the time I jump into slide film. (X-ray viewers are much
cheaper than those listed as light tables, slide viewers, etc.)

Orio, are you sure 1955? I tried to find out the year on mine, and two
sites have the Records back in the 30's.

The seller listed it as of 1955, don't know based on what...

If I have to judge on the look, I'd say it is appropriate. It looks similar to the Super Ikonta I have, and it too was made in the 50s.

Yeah, I'm better now...the Agfa *Billy* Record is from the 30's. Our
cams came out after WWII on up to late 50's somewhere.
