I like the FoW of a 35mm with the shallow DoF of f/2 a lot.
And the colours in your first shot are exactly the way I like them: vivid but not overdone!

Really superb!. Love those greens and browns, and the fine details.

Regards.

So here's another one for you, wide open Smile

#3 roseberries

I find the bokeh in this one really painterly.
Esp. top left, it looks to me like brush strokes.

Nice samples. I really like #1.
The bokeh quality of #3 is similar to that of the Isco Göttingen Westramat 35 2.8 that I once had.

Really nice! Subtle work with these, not the more common "in your face". It s like the work with your models, natural and subtle. I just can t get enough of this type of photos, i guess the weather was overcast? We have the same trees and rosebarries here.

Thanks much Thomas. I am happy that you find a common thread between different subjects in my photos. In fact I can recognize my photographic attitude in your description completely.
It was a sunny day, but I took the first two photos after the sun went down behind the hill. Many photographers prefer autumn photos in full sunlight,
but I think that the best shades of colours can only be obtained in the half hour after the sun went down.
You still have enough light, but the absence of strong shadows allow for every nuance of colour to be captured.
In particular the first two photos required it. It was the only way to render all the creamy shades of brown on the trunk of the plane tree,
and in the grass of the second photo.
The lens is also important in these situations, you need a lens with good microcontrast, it's the only way to keep the photo lively, since the light source is 100% diffused.

Yes, these photos in dusk time can only be a success (for me) if the lens has enough character to render readable detailed and dimensional photos even without a directional light source.
