Wow!!! Beautiful, buttery bokeh when used wide-open Martin, and seems like a very good performer throughout the range.

Sweet shots too Smile

What I'm surprised at is the lack of CA on such an old lens that looks to be single coated.

The bokeh is buttery. Unfortunately the overcast conditions limited my tests a bit.

I'm so impressed that I'm now on the lookout for other Auto Yashinons. These are a real joy to use.

i dont know martin, is it me, or are the colors muted and the contrast a little light? dont mean to be a downer, but thats how it hits my eye...i have an yashinon and i feel the same way about mine, bokeh nice, but with the above limitations.

WOW, wonderful images, only in the last photo is something of CA in the backlight with the sky background.

The light was flat as noted which would have made contrast and saturation off. It's not the most contrasty lens but sauturation seems ok if not quite good.

CA? Nope, this lens doesn't suffer with it surprisingly.

I've been using it today and will post some with today's better lighting in the MF gallery section.

It is a sexy lens. A chap did a double-take when I was out with it in town the other day when it was mounted on my 40D.

Thanks - I'm so lucky that I live where I do. I didn't walk further than a mile to get these shots as I live on farmland with plenty of surrounding fields.

I opened up this lens and tampered with the optics a bit to see what would happen. Cool
