The one with the parrot on her head is pretty fantastic.

The bokeh of the Pancolar 1.4/55 is like the Noctilux 0,95/50 bokeh. The highlights have exactly the same signature

When I sold one, I got 20GBP offer from UK, just a Pancolar ... Laughing

Shoot wide open and you will get the same cats-eyes with any f/1.x lens, as long as you compose highlights in the background. No need to pay 4-digits for the "noctilux look" Rolling Eyes

pronounced highlight edges divide opinions: I think bokeh should be non-perceptive and I find this kind of distraction from the main subject annoying. That said, the earlier photos in the series are excellent - well made use of the lens' characteristics.

Not true. You will get that unique inner open half circle bokeh highlights only with the 0,95 Noctilux or Pancolar 1.4 and Summarit 1.5

I was surprised by the tiger photos. They were taken through very thick, dirty protective glass but the quality of the moment was certainly maintained.
