We've been having some steady rain and decided to take some pictures
anyway. I found very few people walking and the ones I did see, simply
got out of their cars and walked to a bar or pub. Laughing The only camera
I had with me at work was this one, the Ricoh FF-90 I got for $11 off
ebay:

using cheap Arista 400 film from Freestyle:

vertical shot of the first one:

Seeing Orio's Contax G2 series encouraged me to not be such a fair
weather shooter all the time. After all, the fun is about shooting
pictures. Yeah, I got soaked to the bone, but an undershirt made of
polypropylene really keeps the heat in (bought in Maine nothing like that
down here..lol).

These are just a few that I worked up from the roll.

Bill

Thanks, Patrick and Poilu! Smile

This little camera has been quite a surprise, the lens seems to be quite
sharp.

Glad to have triggered your interest in rain pictures Bill !
Yes the big problem is that both you and the camera can get wet. But it really opens new possibilities.
I like the alley pictures. Too bad that there wasn't people around with umbrellas - I find umbrellas very photogenic.
Have you considered B&W ? I find B&W very good for rain pictures. Removing the colours really brings the attention on the rain.

Thanks, Orio! Yeah, I'm up late, can't sleep again. Laughing
Here's two quick and dirty conversions of two:

Thanks for your comment, Yalcin. Smile The camera got pretty wet from the
rain, but held up just fine.

Good Bill, I wish to see more, actually we could even make a dedicated thread to the rain pictures, what about it?
Rain is something that happens almost everywhere on the world, so everybody can take part!

I will start it now.
