Hi everyone!
...just had an opportunity to try new camera 5d Mark II...
My brother was so kind and let me try this camera! IMPRESSIVE! So big thanks to him.
I can not compare it to the previous model -- 5D..
I think it's a nice piece -- unfortunately I didn't have a time to go out..
This shot was taken at f2 or f2.8 -- - argh ! I didn't make a note! ...
Light: just tungsten -- nothing else -- and ISO speed 1000, shutter speed was 1/40 sec..
I have to say -- ISO 1000 looks superb..
Picture was processed in LA as usual, but adjusted a bit only..
--------------
I was trying these lenses:
CZ Distagon 4/18 MM Japan
CZ Distagon 2.8/28 MM Japan
CZ Distagon 1.4/35 MM Germany
CZ Planar 1.4/50 AE Germany
CZ Makro-Planar 2.8/60 AE Japan
No scratches on glass so far (means Distagon 4/18 MM and Distagon 1.4/35)
here's a picture
Distagon 4/18 is still being watched by me if some shaving caused by mirror will be an issue ...
I'll report it soon..
my daughter again

I love film -- I have had an experience with it -- and I love it at all
I understand your decisions
I have Contax 167 MT camera and I love it too much --
the shutter sounds perfect !!! I press it without a film - sometimes
The thing is a scanner --
but as you've said before: the film may be superb archive for next generations

I want it just for shooting short movies Of course it is still a step forward from ol 5D but I wish they had kept the MP count similar to 5D, I hate the MP wars _________________ My name is "Yalcin", and exactly "Yalçın" and here you can find my MF samples:

This is a very beautiful portrait, brightly joyful, one you will treasure over time. Unfortunately I am not keen at all on the mortadella skin tone. It's not necessarily fault of the camera, it could be also wrong white balance or a cast induced by the raw converter (lightroom for instance does that to many Canon cameras).
The DOF is excellently played with.
I am curious about the real size resolution, would you mind sharing a 100% crop of the in-focus portion? _________________ Orio, Administrator

@ Orio
I love the statement about Mortadella unfortunately I am not able to deal with it at this moment - I don't like it too..
well. I have made a selection -- hope that could help to see performance of this camera.. _________________ Flickr.com
