Just for curiosity, how much would you have to pay for that?

Thats a surprise.
I can believe this for the old Takumar (not super, very large) 300/4 _________________ I like Pentax DSLR's, Exaktas, M42 bodies of all kinds, strange and cheap Japanese lenses, and am dabbling in medium format/Speed Graphic work. |

I would get the Tamron SP. It's the smallest of the bunch and offers the highest quality. I had an SMC Takumar 300/4 and was not impressed. The Tair is a good lens but way too big and heavy for practical use. I can't comment on the rest. _________________ List of lenses |

I dont won either but I would also advise the Tamron SP. It's been designed to meet professional standards and should be the lightest. _________________ Body: Fujifilm X-E1

I'd go for the TAIR unless the weight is a problem. It is much, much better than the Tamron SP. The Tamron is sharp, but has a lot of purple fringing until f11 and low contrast. The TAIR is also sharp, has almost zero colour fringing even wide open and better contrast. It wins easily.
I have no experience of the others so cannot comment on their relative merits.

I agree with Mark, as long as you don't mind the weight, go for a Tair. It is sharp and has no CA at f4.5 and contrast is great, I've shot mine a lot at 4.5 and it always does well. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |

I like that Pentacon, I walked away from one at a good price a while back and regretted it. 13 people like that one at the moment, I expect it will get a good price.
I have no experience of the op's choices except the Tair, which I like a lot. It's big, it's heavy, it's stiff - even after a re lube, but I love it. I also have an old Soligor 300 f5.5, which is slower, but smaller, lighter and nearly as sharp. Often the lightness and ease of use get me the sharper picture. _________________ LENSES & CAMERAS FOR SALE.....

OP has already made Tamron purchase-good! I just want to say for anyone listening-I made the mistake of overpaying ($299.00) for a near mint example of the 300mm F 4.0 SMC Takumar. What a waste of money! Difficult to use, CA ridden, sharpness ok. If I had to do it all again, probably just save for a Canon EF 300mm F 4.0-that would be a lens I would actually use:) |

I did try all except Revuneon, (I don't think that is a serious lens)
from all above suggestions I did love all, Tamron , Nikon , Tair, Takumar all are good lenses.
Tamron is especially good light weight and sometimes cheap just like Tair. I kept Tair normal version, due low price and performance. I sold all others due performance wasn't better and I could earn some money on them. _________________ -------------------------------
