Using the Canon EOS Elan IIe with the Sigma Mini-Wide 2.8/28 lens. I did
not choose wisely on the lens. This film needs the sharpest/best pencil in
the box for it to really sing:

Colors and bokeh look very nice to me. I'm not versed in film, but I know what I like Smile

Pirate, there were a number of shots that had flare, turning them into dumpers. You can see a little of what I'm talking about in the last shot.

But thanks for your comments! Wink Smile

nice results Bill! have you scanned yourself?
I have to find some ektar and try

Bill your compositions are always spectacular, and you are doing the Ektar some justice, even with what you are calling not the best lens to use.

Amazing color and clarity. Thank you posting these! I definitely want to go out and get some Ektar now! Shocked

Thanks, Poilu and Larry!

Poilu, I always do my own scanning.

Hope to see some of both your efforts with this new film.

Excellent, looks like a good film. I especially love the second photo.

I like the colours very much Bill, and you have become a real master of scanning.
Next time with a sharper lens it will be even better.

I agree, beautiful colours and excellent scans Bill. I wouldn't criticise the sharpness too much, those purple leaves look plenty sharp enough to me. Did you use a hood? Maybe the extra contrast using a hood might have made a difference, and helped with the flare too.

Attila, Nesster, Orio, and Peter, thanks for your comments.

Peter, yes, and I did have a newly-purchase WA hood for this lens, forgot
to use it. There were a couple of shots where I'm shooting out from under
a covered walkway that still had flare. Love this lens on digital, but it is
the flare king with a film cam. I should have used the Flek, probably much
better outcome.

I'm also waiting on a focus confirm Oly OM>EOS adapter so I can use my
Zuikos with this cam. I'll try another roll of Ektar, then.

Thanks again,

Bill

Here's two more from the roll:

The last has some flare in it, but I didn't think I needed a hood, given where
I was.

I think you are going to do nice things with this camera. It will be interesting to see what you get with the flek.

You have got me stareing at the EOS3 thinking it needs to be used.

You should, Ron, the EOS 3 is one sweet camera!
