The title should be a kind of funny / provoking. Well here is another sample from my slim Orestor. The sharpest out of 8 or 9 samples i have collected. Lady is Boza and wears strong makeup thus the colors. No post-production whatsoever. First jpeg out of Pentax K10D resized only. Second full size crop no sharpening, second a bit sharpened (could take even more but not with portraits of course). I think with this lens i can make pretty big prints.

No lens is ever too sharp for portraits.
It takes one second to make a sharp lens look soft:

While to go the other way around is impossible.

Of course Orio, i mention title is a joke in start. Nice adaptation you've made there - i guess I was too impressed with the sharpness and detail but totally forgotten the importance of softness Smile!

My usual theme with models is to sharpen the eyes and soften the skin.

That meyer looks a great lens and you've done a great job with the focus.

orestor ????
is very good... a bit soft wide open...
a razor sharp at 5.6/8...
i tested it with the carl zeiss sonnar 2.8/135....and you can enlarge a picture without problems

personally ... i begin to hate 135mm... too large..but jupiter37a has 12 blades
.... orestor 2.8/100 a little gem!
it is the best lens made by Meyer-Optik
I'm loving it!
