Today my sons and I went to pick mushrooms....
I brought with me a lens that doesn't remember having....
This is a 135mm 1:2.8 WELTBLICK TELE AUTO
All in all not terrible, the bokeh is not the best, the sharpness is quite good ....
Three samples .... 1 with human subject (my children), 2 a landscape, 3 a macro with macro rings

That's very nice. For me, the butterfly is my fave. As they say, no such thing as a bad 135 |

Very nice. I love the second shot of the mountains.
I do have a bad 135 - a Sigma made Pentacon 2.8/135, not sharp at all. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |

I also bought some bad 135mm (remember for example a D&N)
This looks decent to me ....

Non-Gauss teles (like Sonnars/Ernotars or Tessars) are really the simplest to make and they offer very decent performance at little cost.
Also, 135mm is short enough in order to have the unavoidable CA problem of longer lenses reduced to a minimum.
This explains why there are so many good and affordable performers amongst 135mm focal lenght lenses.
135mm is really a focal lenght where it is possible to save a lot of money by buying smart.
Macro shot shows a very good amount of detail, but also the hills in the background of #2 are nicely resolved. _________________ Orio, Administrator
