I also discovered some bubble soap lenses=) really fantastic

Without making you lost your time, do you have others suggestions about such sorts of lenses? like really interesting in one aesthetical way?

You know, no need at all to loose your time, I'm totally able to continue some searchs...just asking to found some news ideas, nothing more

thanks a lot, and good continuation

There are a few threads already, just a search away. Search seems to be broken...(EDIT: just quick search is down)
Off the top of my head... CZJ 75/1.5 which was copied by the Helios 40 85/1.5.
CZJ Biotar 58/2 which was copied by the Helios 44 58/2.

My favorite "character" lens is the Fujinon 2.2/55: http://forum.mflenses.com/fujinon-2-2-55-a-unique-and-unusual-lens-t68686,highlight,+fujinon.html

The Fujinon 55 / 2.2 is a strange lens, it's a cheap plastic thing with an unusual optical design, but it's actually rather good. There is sharpness in the lens, and bokeh of your choice. Wide open highlight bubbles, but stop down it's nice and smooth.

No need to spend loads of money to get character. Sometimes really interesting lenses are cheap. Try three different Meyer Domiplans, you might be surprised. Try SIGMA YS prime lenses, they are special. Try old 35mm and 28mm glass for panorama if you want vintage, painted outcome.

The Domiplan certainly seems to have interesting potential, though there are a few things to bear in mind. It is a slow lens, so in ordinary use you won't get a lot of background blur, and won't see much of the bubbly bokeh - to maximise that you need to use it for closeup photography. Unfortunately it doesn't have very good minimum focus distance, so you will probably need to put it on extension tubes or bellows, to get close enough for nice background blur. They were also not well built by old DDR standards - at the time probably the cheapest standard lens option on the cheapest Praktica cameras. Most the copies I find have at best a sticky iris. So either leave it wide open, or be prepared to clean it or get it cleaned. The great thing is that they are cheap, so if you have a bit of time for messing around, they are a good option

Get the cheap primes from 50s and early 60s. Many people abandon them because they are full of character. Wink
