The filter is not "riveted" onto the RE. Auto-Topcor 500/5.6. It uses the same slide-in filters as the R. Topcor 300/2.8, the two "rivets" are actually little handles to get a grip on the cover and pull it out.
The little handles are of the same design as some of the buttons on the original semi-auto Auto-Topcor lenses, three circular steps. I had to machine a few to replace some on the filters for my 300/2.8.
The curved cover is color-coded to the color of the filter. White for UV, light yellow for Y1, medium yellow for Y2, and red for R2. |

The size of the rectangular opening in the clamp-on hoods for the 20mm and 25mm RE. Auto-Topcors are not the same. The opening in the 20mm one is slightly larger. No practical difference, I think, but I've never tried the 25mm hood on the 20mm lens. |

Sorry I just saw your post. Also I have to apologized for my poor English. What I meant to say was that my copy of the 500/5.6 had a white badge riveted to the body of the lens. Engraved on the badge was "SL39.3C UV IX", which I assumed were filter names. I was wondering what the badge and the inscription are for. |

The photos of it aren`t great but the seller has good rep and the price is pretty good. I`ve sold two with various issues for £145 each, so a clean one at £120 is a good buy, in saying that I got my very clean copy fo £80 on a body so it pays to look closely elsewhere. It`s the first version for anyone interested. _________________ Sony A7iii.

Well, the lens arrived and it's a beauty... Beautiful condition except... the aperture doesn't work ! The aperture ring turns but the thing is stuck wide open. Pushing the little lever on the mount has no effect.
I could easily return it to the seller but the thing looks so nice... Could it be easy to fix ? |
