just for fun, 2 classic glasses taken with another classic glass, the S-M-C 1.4/50 @f1.4 on Pentax K-x

'Boke Cola'

'Sugar'

'a Seidl'

if you order a beer in Austria it will be a 0.5l glass, if you want 0.3l it is 'ein kleines Bier' or 'a Seidl'

taken in restaurant /coffee shop - handheld high ISO

The "seiterl bier" has some great 3D to it for my feeling.

nr1 is a great abstract, ... I couldn't see at first glance what it is.

Cheers
Tobias

thank you Mo.
I also like the sparks on the Coca Cola glass best, the ones on the base of the beer glass also complement the bubbles further up quite well, I'd think.

thank you 'Shrek'
it is always fun to play like this Wink

oh Tobias, of course it actually is 'Seiterl', 'Seidl' may pass as a transcription of the sloppy viennese dialect. I guess that the lines in the background add to the 3D

best greetings,
Andreas

I would even say each pub has it's own pronounciation Wink

seidl, seital, seitl, seiderl, seiterl, seidal, etc Laughing

Cheers
Tobias

Three great images, but for me, the 2nd one - 'Sugar' - is my favourite. Nice work with a nice lens Andreas Wink

what a pleasure to get such positive feedback,
thank you so much everybody.

the first one was specially fun to do, and I am amazed by the result, the beer was during the same lunch.
The sugar was taken later with more leisure.
Mal do you like 'Sugar' because it is better technically?

another 'Austrian' glass, wine is traditional and enjoyed here,
again S-M-C 1.4/50 wide open

Thomas I guess the transcription of 'Seiterl' in my dialect would be Sei'l
( 'l' near to a half vowel, so wie das Meidlinger L Smile )

best greetings and regards,
Andreas

No - I like it because to me it's the most interesting of the three photos, but it's not that the others aren't interesting too Wink

thank you Thomas and Malachy,
that body of the 'sugar' reminds me of a fluffy baby chicken Wink

got one more, again S-M-C 1.4/50 wide open,
a glass of water ( got a liking for common, unspectacular things Wink )

cheers,
Andreas
