FIrst bunch of pics (I have others).
Sorry for the blur, there was dark, and I had a slow film in the camera, and no flash.
Most pics are taken with the Biogon 21mm.

Early morning, at the opening

The same camera and lens as in Hitchcock's "Rear Window":

Notice the two gorgeous "Pro-Tessar"s for Contarex, at the right:

I love this one.
It has a very intense feel. You can actually feel these guys all chomping at the bit for this gear.

Thanks for sharing this, Orio! Shots like these are great to look at.

BTW, offering delicious food and drinks at a camera fair, this is "ars vivendi"! Fantastic!

Great series as usual Orio. That looks like a wonderful market - I am not aware of anything like it in the US

hi Erik,
this fair was in a town called Castel San Giovanni, in the province of Piacenza (region Emilia)
It takes place twice per year, usually in April and September.
There are other fairs like this one, in other places of Italy. This one happens to be one of the nearest to where I live.

Now I definitely need to go to Italy. Haven't visited your beautiful country for a long time.

Is there a site somewhere which lists these fairs?

/Erik

There is this site:
www.fotomercato.com
that lists some of them.
Current list:
http://www.fotomercato.com/index.php?v=inc_mercatini.php
The site is based in the north east and covers mostly that area (so perhaps interesting for Austrian, Croatian and Hungarian members)
It also lists fairs in other areas but it's not complete.
It's not easy to find info about all the fairs, many are organized locally. Perhaps buying photo magazines would help as sometimes they are advertised there, but I rarely buy those mags because they are not interesting for me.

Members that would like to visit the fair of Castel San Giovanni can be guests at my place. Just let me know with some advance.

Thank you!

For me, it would have to be part of a longer trip (I live in Sweden).
