I was walking in the local woods the other day, and ran across these
purple fuzzy mushrooms. I think they are Purple Purpurea
(Collybia fuscopurpurea), but mushrooms are such a huge
genus and species that I can't be too sure.

The image is nothing to crow about, but the subject matter is unusual
enough that I thought I should post it. This is a very low resolution
scan, so don't mind the artifacts.

The original slide from the Voigtlander lens is snapping-sharp, and the
close focusing capability is phenomenal.

Possibly Collybia fuscopurpurea
Pentax ZX-5N
Voigtlander 90/3.5 SL Apo-Lanthar
f:5.6
Provia

Wonderful mushrooms and a wonderful shot capturing that purple
(? looks violet to me...) velvet look as if one could feel it!!

P.S.: I think it might be Cortinarius violaceus, cf. that image of it:

Yes, these are taken right from the lens and camera, and are the true
color and texture. Definitely weird and beautiful mushrooms.

Klaus, you nailed it! I DID run my fingers over the surface, and it felt like --
well, felt! Or suede, maybe. Thanks for looking it up! And what can I say
about this lens...well, how about magnificent for starters. Laughing

Yep, your image as a "haptic" look&feel if one can say that - as
if I want to stretch out my hand´and touch it.
