That's the very common Tokina lens I think, T-mount, usually labelled 4/100 rather than 4/105, there is a 2.8/100 version too. I had it as a Palinar, it's also seen as a Hanimex and several pother brads but Palinar seems most common in the UK. It's quite sharp but muted colours and contrast, produced okay results after a bit of PP. If this particular one is M39, then they just changed the barrel length as it looks very similar to the common T-mount version.

These may not have made it to the US very often.
I found mine in UK ebay years ago, "Palinar" brand. I have seen them also as Hanimex.
UK may be a good place to look. |
Yes, seems common here, there is a Palinar (which I am currently the high bidder on) and a Hanimex listed atm, there might be others that I haven't spotted as well.

Distinctive italic script on the nameplate, T-serial says tamron.
I have acquired a chrome eared 864xxxx serial 180mm f3.5.
This lens needed servicing: loose mount and oily iris. My notes on that are in a thread in the repair section.
Pics suggest quite sharp but prone to flare. _________________ pentax ME super (retired)

I do not have this lens, simply borrowed it from an ebay listing to help build the reference library.
It is a 4.5/250

I have a Soligor C/D 28mm f2.0 in Konica mount.
I have a Konica so I'll burn off a couple of frames (I bulk load 7 exposure loads of HP5 for this purpose) and show a picture of the lens and a few frames taken with it.
If I remember (it's been years since I've used it) it was a very good lens. _________________ If you prefer "I think, therefore I am" to "non sum qualis eram", you are putting Descartes before Horace. |

I also have the 28 / 2 CD - in Minolta mount. I seem to get mixed results from it, or it might just be me I'll try it again on the Sony and see how it performs. It could be interesting to see how it compares to being used with film, which is what it was designed for, _________________ LENSES & CAMERAS FOR SALE.....

A Pentax dealer is proposing me this Soligor lens which I have no idea of and there's very little I could find on the web: Soligor 100mm f2.0 Pentax K mount.
He says it's a beautiful portrait lens. I could probably borrow it for a ride but I wanted to ask before and see if it's worth the time (it's 100km from here).

Do you know the serial number? It might provide an additional clue about the manufacturer. |
