Here are my first shots wit the Tair-11-2 (Black version). I made an error in the first photos (thought it was a 135mm instead of 133mm) so please forgive me Smile

I found it a very nice lens to use: if focuses relatively smooth but it can be seen that it's an old design as you keep focusing and focusing and focusing because of the long focusing thread...

Beautiful shots.. !
I am in love with this lense ever since i saw Attilas samples. But it just shows up rarely & when it does the price is very high.

It does? Well, I haven't paid more than 25 euros for this lens. But then I don't know the going rate either. It's a very nice lens though.

The secret tip is to not bid on auction sites, but check classifieds sites instead (i.e. Craigslist etc). Some people just never want the hassle of posting items for auction on eBay, as that takes too much time and knowledge. And it's never nice if you are in the middle of a bidding war, unless you are the seller. I'd like to mention my own experience here: I once bought a Taylor & Hobson Cooke 152mm f/2.8 Telepanchro for 70 euros with the intention of converting it to M42. I never came to it but sold it on eBay instead. It went for US$ 2050 Shocked

The advantage of living in Europe is that we're closer to the source, i.e. Russia and the former DDR. At that time, back in the 60's and 70's, the cameras and lenses were sold here on a regular basis.

I have updated the pictures in the first post. The original ones looked too soft because Photobucket resized them after upload. So please scroll up to see the photos as I meant them: sharp and crispy Smile

All of these lenses (Jupiter 11, Tair 11 and S-M-C Takumar 50/1.4) have great bokeh. Perfect choice Smile
