Yes... deepest colour possible, close focusing, smooth DOF degradation... it's the MIR-24 Wink

Thanks folks.

Orio - yes the close focus, colour saturation and smoothness are great.. I'll have to do a side by side comparison with my Nikkor 35mm f2 AIS - my gut feeling is that there's no obvious winner.

patrick - we've had daffodils out in this bit of Kent since late December - bulbs have been all over the place for the last three years - whether it's global warming or just an odd few years I can't say.

carsten - I'll try at weekends. At the moment I leave home in the dark and get back to Faversham in the dark Sad

Bill - It's widely available around ?30-?40, sometimes less which makes it a bargain in my eyes.
