I like the close distance best razor thin DOF.
Near infinity is really hard to focus.
Mid range is easiest to use.
It is so light weight that I may bring it with me downtown to play.
Shake reduction in pentax body is very good. On sony nex body is so much more difficult to use and to get an ok result.

Yes Tom, you're right. It's an interesting feature.
And many have good results using manual focus lenses without this in-body shake reduction.
The Pelican above was shot handheld with a Canon 5D MkII. Light counts a lot too.
