I've had this lens on my EM Nikon film body for a few months now which was bought off my friend for $20.00
(Mounted on my Canon 20D)
I recently picked up an adapter off ebay, Nikon to EOS for $4.95
Here are the Results.

Taken just outside of my work place... Need to test out the sharpness and contrast.

Random shot.

So far it had replaced for now my 35mm Super-tak and 55-super-tak due to the fact it is versatile Smile

I'm needing to find a good Nikkor lens, but don't know what to look for - I want to shoot portraits with the Nikkor.
Any suggestion would be much appreciated.

Thank you for sharing these samples!
I suggest any Nikkor lens around 85mm-105mm all are excellent.

I once had the same lens, but my copy was in very bad condition. Thus I cannot reall tell about its quality.

Have you pics of the lens because the quality seems ok
The 35/140 f3.5 version was famous for beeing one the worst lens sold

Well, the 3.5/35-140 was the one I had.

Doesn't look at all bad. Is it this one?

(Found at ritzcam.)

I have an I-S version, but it's two touch and f3.5 all through.

The 3.8/5.3 version seems to be a sun (goyo optical) made version
The quality seems ok and that it is not so common with this manufacturer

The 3.5 version / 2 touch is the one known beeing of very very very poor quality (totally uncorrected spherical aberration) , in fact one of the worst lens sold

Very Happy Yep! It's not one I ever use, I bought it for the mount. It's still in it's original packaging and I'd say has never been used. Perhaps the original owner thought it crap too!

But... one man's trash is another man's treasure, or so someone said. So I'll take the 'Worst Lens Sold' for a test drive and see how it does.. or doesn't Rolling Eyes
As a paperweight it's lovely. Great big lump of glass and well put together, as for the rest - we'll see.

Hi PBFACTS, I'm all new in this forum, hope I won't make mistakes. Do you still have the Tok 100-300? Is it a F4 ATX or the F5,6 SZX? How much do you sell it? Thanks!

That would be the one.
Mine too has a soft look to it - I tested more during a nice sunny day, made my photos foggy like. I have since placed this back on the Nikon for the wife to photograph with. Still is a nice lens for what it was worth.

This is probably due to internal reflections ... Try to put an hood on it, and try to avoid direct light reflections in the lens, it should perform really better ...
