I just finished a 30-minute excercise, replacing all the lens titles in my forum signature with links to sample photos. It also told me which lenses I should shoot more with Laughing

I think this forum has so many members with interesting lenses who also have "lens-tagged" galleries of photos (in the member galleries or elsewhere). It would be very interesting to see other members as well adding "lens-tag" links to their forum signature Cool

Hey thanks, Guys! So, how do I look? Okay, eh? Maybe I'll tweak it some more later, now that I know how the formatting works.

Have you tried the "size" BBC code? Like this:

Code:
[size=9]Some text or SOME TEXT[/size]

Which looks like this:

Some text or SOME TEXT

That's how mine is.

I've noticed some members placing a small flag on their signatures... How did you do that?. Smile

Regards.
Jes.

I can't edit anything on my profile. Not my signature or even change my password. Every time I click the save button it says 'e-mail adress is invalid' or 'this e-mail adress is already registered to another user'

Help Confused

Jes.

Search for your gif mini flag and download it.
Upload it on the site, which gives you an image forum adresse.

Then, in the signature block of text of your profile, add an image with the link to your flag :
for mine (France), for instance, I inserted this link adress : http://forum.mflenses.com/userpix/20122/1176_france_1.gif
between [img] [/img]

By copying the above page "site translation mini flags" and pasting them, we obtain these links that can be included in signatures texts :
french : http://forum.mflenses.com/templates/mflenses/images/french.gif
german : http://forum.mflenses.com/templates/mflenses/images/german.gif
italian : http://forum.mflenses.com/templates/mflenses/images/italian.gif
portuguese : http://forum.mflenses.com/templates/mflenses/images/portuguese.gif
spanish : http://forum.mflenses.com/templates/mflenses/images/spanish.gif
japanese : http://forum.mflenses.com/templates/mflenses/images/japanese.gif
Korean : http://forum.mflenses.com/templates/mflenses/images/japanese.gif
Chinese simplified : http://forum.mflenses.com/templates/mflenses/images/chinese.gif
English : http://forum.mflenses.com/templates/mflenses/images/english.gif

Feel free to complete with your links (australian, austrian, norvegian, danish, polish, vietnamese, argentina, USA, russian, and so on...) Smile

?? Why not modifying and listing your gear in member profile?

Sorry but mostly there are more rows of camera and lens gear instead of getting informations i a posting. This makes it difficult to read most of threads.

IMHO a signature should only have a link to your homepage or flickr account and not endless listings of photographic gear.
I dont understand, why anyone is interested of what gear a member do have and use in a normal conversation about a topic?
If there are gear related problems to solve, member can and most of the time will describe the problem with naming the gear.
So imho there is no need to overload a page in a topic with such detailed information of own gear.

Cheers
Henry

That's right Henry, about making threads more readable.
So, after some thinking, I just changed my sig again to make it shorter.
Attila, is there a way of adding an extended text zone in the member's profile for listing gear ?

Specifying the gear is inetresting for other members when they have a specific question.
For instance, I already had members private messages about Angenieux lenses because they see I got one in my sig.
But they can obtain this information by making a search.

I also noticed that, after adding a new body in my sig, "goggle" returned my MFLenses messages when making a search...
