Hi!
Got this lens since yesterday and now i know it`s my favourite 50-60mm lens Smile It`s sharp from f/1.2; bokeh is very smooth, colours are excellent, ca is very very low(far better thann with planar 50/1.4) and low on distortion
Few pics:

Really amazing. Very nice images, very 3-D.

What's the close focus distance?

Yeah, I want one!

0,6m - not perfect but not bad
if you are looking for good close focus 50mm lens go for pancolar or pentacon 50 1.8(about 0,3m)

Some of those images look really, really good to me. I think Rokkor lenses are generally under-rated.

congrats karabud, 1 more fine lens
mine is not impressive wide open on the 5DII, but it deliver from 2.8

The same thing happened to me. Since I used it, it became my favorite.
I use it for fashion photo, and the surprise was that customers would see this when using this Rokkor. And a customer, never see the quality.
Congrats

Thx:), mine is same or more sharp than my Planar C/Y(chosed from many samples) but is different lens than planar, rokkor looks more like 85mm lens(very smooth bokeh, very thin dof) so i keep both[/quote]

Yes. The latter has better coating and works best at full aperture. More congratulations.

Congrats!

I regret selling mine... but needed the money for insurance Sad. Thankfully, they're not terribly rare.

You're meant to cut bac the rear retainer, as well as shave the mirror for the 5D(s), if you want infinity. But it's really a lens for close ups/portraits, so wouldn't really be worth the effort if you ask me.

Enjoy!
