I think this price was good. The lens sure is. Seller did not make his reserve so I asked for second chance offer. Really nice person easy to deal with.Click here to see on Ebay Very Happy

Orio do you mean to compare this one to Contax macro? I don't have the Macro-Planar 100mm. But I do have the Macro-Planar 60mm.

sunshine you already have the best macro, you will never find better
to explain myth & legend just look at price in french franc in 1987
the contax 100 was 4.5x the price of the tamron 90 or kiron 105
of course the contax is not 4.5x better
for the price the tamron & kiron are hard to beat
those lens are good from F8 to F11
kiron have better myth & legend than the tamron because he go to 1:1 and tamron 'only' 1:2
tamron have 8 lens/6 group and kiron 6 lens/6 group and tamron is far better
all lens are good but wide open or at F22 or at 1:1 Shocked
you contax 60 is a beast a F2.8 and a beast a F22 and a beast at 1:1
today a used contax is still 4.5x the price of a used kiron
today for the price the tamron & kiron are still hard to beat
but don't try to compare @ F2.8 or 1:1 Laughing
so now that you will have the 2 lens, I am curious about your experience, with liveview it will be easy to perfect focus.
