Hello & Guten Tag Smile

Inspired by this thread by Carsten(thanks),
I dare to show you my adaptation of a Colorplan 2.5/90mm on a Pentax K100D.

2 Months ago I went on a fleamarket very near,
and found a Colorplan 2.5/90mm for 5€.
Came home, put it apart and cleaned it.
Not as nice as yours, but I began to think about an adapter aswell.
So I went to a do-it-yourself store and bought a 5€ drainpipe coupler (hope its the correct expression)
Cut and glued it to a screw mount of an broken M42 lens,
and put the Colorplan right into it.
The lens is held by the inner rubber seal.

You can even zoom with it. Laughing

Now, with a M42-PK adapter this thing takes some nice photos,

Silvana

Akin

Miro (my chameleon)

Best regards
Hasan

Hasan, I've used plastic pipe also, though yours looks much better than what I cobbled together. And the result - Silvana's portrait is so good I had to stop and rest a minute.

Old thread but let me also add my admirations for the DIY adapter and excellent result.
BTW, if you still own the lens, what is your experience of bokeh it makes and do you have any picture to show bokeh of this lens?

Is this lens better than the Pentacon 80mm 2.8?

Hi,

I do have both, indeed.
The Colorplan was the clear winner
in bokeh and sharpness (center+edges)
in a short comparison I did.

Kind regards
Hasan
