7 elements. More resolution power. Better IQ in corners. More coldest colors rendering. MOre prone to flare. Single coated.
5 elements. More contrast and vibrant colors, in the warm side. Less flare. Less resolution power and corner rendering.

How can I distinguish each version?

First- Look at the reflections colors of the coated. The newer has a lot of colors (green, blue, yellow) And the oldest has a brownish color.
Second- The newer 5 element has a 55mm diameter.The oldest has higher diameter.
Third-The 5 lement is shorter than the average 28 mm lenses
The 7 elemente is large as the average 28 mm leses are.
