Thanks, Sorin,
I guess it would pay to know who the 3rd party is and if the coatings
are any good. This will probably go for cheap, but I don't want to end
up with a paperweight...

The seller has a great feedback story so it will be ok and you should not worry, but as a general guideline, I'd always ask to see a photo of the lens without the UV filter on. Else it's impossible to really see how is the lens glass.
