#7 Poilu, if looks could kill you'd be dead by now.
I like the last one. You managed to catch the emotion.
And that plate man in #6 looks so drooling, I'll go to hit the fridge Very Happy

Great captures!

Looks like you're quite popular with the ladies, look at that smiles on #3 and 4. #7 is another story. Smile

And I agree with Himself about the last one, brilliantly captured moment.

Good series.

I've not really tested mine in anger at high ISO, but I was amazed that 1600 was almost noise-free. 25600 would probably be fine for web use.

Great serie in an warm atmosphere....
The #7 is really great, very funny how the (old) lady look to you!
The last one is also my fav. of this serie, a really great captured moment......

One of your best series, poilu!
Great low light work, and a very high number of excellent captures, that depict the atmosphere perfectly.
Almost all are favourites for me, so useless to name any. But I agree that the girl's look in the last picture has something special.

from 6400, noise start to be intrusive on 5DII

and I still don't feel safe, I hope she never find me

I wish Embarassed it was quite dark and they could not see me well

Like ISO 400 on G1

I also believe larger sensor help in low light

I have to try that

I don't think she understood I was photographing her and I was lucky to catch the moment

I will try, usually I take the 35:1.4 in such low light but results was encouraging with the 5DII

On second thought, I think the best is probably #8, the old couple looking in different directions. The old man probably looking at the young ladies dancing (at least something on his face seems to suggest that), while the old lady seems to chat with a friend Very Happy There's almost a comedy play in just one shot!

No. You are lucky when you make one great shot in a selection of 11. But I have counted at least 6 great shots here. When you make more than 50% great shots in a selection, it's not luck anymore, it's a great photographers eye.

Considering these are probably handheld, poilu not only has a T* eye but also a very solid hand.

The last one is absolutely perfect.
BW is fantastic but we lose the divine color her eyes seem to have.

The 5DII astonished me a lot at 3200 and even 6400 iso.
A great camera !

In these series, I love the ladies' shots and also the shouting gentlemen, especially the one on the right of picture 6.
I also noticed the wonderful profile of the lady on the right of #7. See the skin details. Great !

And I love your last BW one. She looks so happy in his arms. Very charming catch.

Poilu, the 5DII shines in your hands. Very Happy

1/160s for this portrait and #1#2#5#6, #7 at 1/100s, #3#4 1/500s
I try to stay at 2 x the 1/focal rule on the 5DII

Wise !
These are good speeds. That's why I like the 5D MkII very much, compared to the 40D.

Thank you Poilu and have a good day.
(Here, weather is grey and sad...)
