There is another chinon 55 1.4 m42 with blue and orange marks on it. That is supposed to be a better one and rare to find as well.

Does anybody know if there are actually differences between Chinon Tomioka and just Chinon versions?
I can get a Chinon 55 1.4 for 40€, is it good?

Thought i'd dust off this topic when i got this in the mail today !

Glass in nice, focus is smooth but a bit "noisy"....
I might try to get in at some point, when i can find a tutorial... but not before i try it out !

Can the serial number tell us anything Question
