This is a wonderful lens, Attila! I would like to see some nature photos done by you with this Biotar Smile
By the way - I found the list of serial numbers of CZJ lenses produced after the II WW:

3,000,000-3,200,000: 1945-1949
3,200,000-3,470,000: 1949-1952
3,470,000-4,000,000: 1952-1955
4,000,000-5,000,000: 1955-1958
5,000,000-6,000,000: 1958-1961
6,000,000-7,000,000: 1961-1964
7,000,000-8,000,000: 1964-1967
8,000,000-9,000,000: 1967-1970
9,000,000-10,000,000: 1970-1975

Till 1952 focal length was signed in centimetres and then in millimetres.

No problem! I hope that this list will be helpful for some users. Looking at the list I can say that Orio's Tessar 5cm was made in 1952, my Tessar was made in 1949... now I'm looking for more precise list Smile

I expect same impressive result at wide open my other Biotars are tack sharp at wide open especially than 1951 version.

I think that photos taken in better light conditions will be more impressive Cool It's amazing that such old lens gives so great results! I'll be waiting for some nature photos (flowers, leaves...). Enjoy your Biotar, Attila!

Thanks Maxim! I suggest to take one Biotar instead of buy an AF lens in future.

Fantastic lens, Attila!

Maxim, thanks for the precious serial info!
The seller of my lens must have known this info, because he stated the lens was built in 1952, which in fact turns out correct.
