HI there -- well, this page is really impressive --- despite the fact I don't understand any letter on it -- there is a key message which we all understand at all:
Carl Zeiss --

http://eos-1ds.cocolog-nifty.com/blog/cat4690200/index.html

this gallery contains a samples of Carl Zeiss lenses for C/Y incl. expensive lenses such as: Planar 1.2/85, Distagon 3.5/15, Distagon 2.8/21, Distagon 1.4/35, Planar 2/135 etc...

I am really impressed of the comparison of Distagon 2.8/21 and Biogon 2.8/21 ZM

and also examples of Distagon 3.5/15 (my dream:) and Planar 1.2/85...

but all pictures all superb examples of this exceptional brand Smile

JUST ROLL DOWN Smile you'll see how they perform Smile

Some members from Japan could roughly describe what's up on this page Smile

Have a nice looking Smile

Not the best, but sometimes google translation can help a bit. But as you said, the pictures tell the story or rather Zeiss

For most part, I am happy of what I have and don't wish for any more lenses... but the Planar 1.2/85... is one of the few lenses I am still drooling about.

I agree with you Orio -- if you've once had a lens such as Carl Zeiss for Contax cameras -- you know what you are talking about .. Smile

I have found one more at ffordes.com :

https://secure.ffordes.com/index.htm

but at the extraordinary price of .... 3.500 British Pounds ! ! ! !
It is the 60th year anniversary edition !

They also have the 2/135 and the 2/200.
I dare not mention the prices. . . . . . . .

They sell Makro-Planar 2.8/60 for incredible price on EBAY !!! OVER 800 GBP !!!

I don't understand marketing strategy of this company

In Japan quite a few 1.2/85mm and 1.2/55mm are for sale, the 60year anniversary being more expensive than the 10 year older 50y versions.
