I just spent a couple of weeks in Tanzania and visited the Ngorogoro Crater. These two black rhino represent about 10 percent of the species left in Ngorogoro after a decade of heavy poaching. Very sad. Nikkor 300mm f4.5 ED-IF, Nikon D600.

This nanny and kid came into our camp early in the morning at Upper Cathedral Lake in the Pasayten Wilderness in north-central Washington and stayed for a couple of hours. I've had a 12x18 made of this image for our house -- just love the sharpness. Nikkor 80-200mm f4 AIS, Nikon D600. 1/400 sec., f5.6, ISO 800.
