Red Molly, Helios 44-2 55mm f2 on Canon t6. It was this experience that started my obsession with manual focus lenses.

Although this was taken with a Nikkor AF-P lens, I used it in manual focus mode. These little guys have become a bit used to me, so I can stand 8 feet away and fiddle with my gear. Nikkor 70-300mm f4.5-6.3 AF-P VR at 300mm, Nikon D5500. ISO 1600, 1/800th, f8.[/img]

That is indeed an interesting woodpecker. I don't think I've ever seen a photo of one before. Its body shape is similar to the flickers that we have over here, but the coloring is entirely different.

On the chromatic aberration, it's probably there, but I don't think about it. I think the D5500 applies a lens profile to the image to suppress it, but I don't do anything more about it.

Grasshopper was in a hurry, so I took a hurried snapshot and while adjusting the camera for a second shot, they were gone. Tokina AT-X 2.5/90 ISO 100 and 1/80s. Don´t remember the aperture setting, but probably f/4 or 5.6?
