Just started playing with my Mamiya RB67 and bothered some folks with taking some portraits of them.
Kodak Tmax 100, digitalised with Canon 5dII, stitched in Photoshop and "colored" in Silver Effex.

Agree. Extremely well done. How did you digitize them with the 5D Mk2?

Excellent portraits.
May I ask what was the lighting setup for the second example (gentleman with glasses)

Very simple, as I wanted to carry that stuff around.

Black background, only one flash with beauty dish, bit higher than camera (6 o'clock) and modell (12 o'clock), at around 8 to 9 o'clock.

I like the light on your old friend Herbert; natural or flash? The detail and non detail also make the portrait very interesting.

Thank you. Used a flash with beauty dish.

I like Herbert's pose and lighting too, very appropriate, I also like that there's a bit more space around him. The pose of Samira perhaps too close and frontal?

Herbert's portrait is excellent.
In Samira's the reflection of the beauty dish in her glasses is distracting - if she had tilted her head forwards slightly it would have been good.

I have to confess that i had never heard of a beauty dish until you posted these portraits and kindly shared your set-up. Its now on my "want" list as these are exactly the type of shots I would like to take.

many thanks - Barry

You're right, already made clear yesterday with Samira to make another portrait shooting when meeting again.

The beauty dish is nowadays experiencing kind of a renaissance. It is an old tool for portrait shooting.
Had that dish with Multiblitz mount for years now, but my flashes have another mount. Finally made an adapter myself and glued it to that dish.
