In this sample a problem of the most soft focus lenses is good visible. The halos in the areas of high contrasts. You getting this ugly bands around the objects.
The halo between the bright reflex of the street and the face of the women is a perfect example.
It shows that the lens has high chromatic aberration and this is not a good choice.
Better results are given with a minimum of chromatic aberration and a higher spherical aberration. Like the Imagon.

But it is always limited by the small size of the format.

I guess step 3 is much too much.
