I am very happy that my G.Zuiko Auto-S f1.4 40mm 'Pen-F' lens finally is in working condition. Because of it's speed and focal length it's the one the of my small Pen-F lens collection that I have been most curious about. Focal length because for 'street portraits' on APS-C my so far preferred 1.4/50 Takumar often was a bit too long, but a 35mm lens too wide, and speed because I find the high ISO performance of modern cameras paired with a fast lens giving new possibilities of available light photography:

i think the b&w renderings are outstanding! and very nice compositions as well. i have been curious about half frame pen lenses on digital in vignetting effect...have you noticed any?

no, no vignetting on NEX. The half frame these lenses were designed for is just a bit larger than an APS-C sensor
( of the samples shown only #2 had been slightly cropped in PP, the other three are uncropped )
best greetings,
Andreas
